Open for business – in Ireland!

GR Blog 3

Gail Russell, one of our Creative Directors, has now set up a permanent base in, Lismore, Ireland from which we aim to grow the business. Initially driven by Gail’s desire to go ‘home’ – her family are from Fermoy and the surrounding area – we see this as a major opportunity to offer Irish businesses quality branding and design serviced in the locality, but backed up by colleagues in the UK.

Peter Blegvad

We are just putting the finishing touches to the poetry paper, for the Poetry Trust’s Aldeburgh Poetry Festival to be held this year on November 6-8. We are pleased that this year the illustrations will be by the inimitable Peter Blegvad, best known for his well-loved pithy Leviathan comic strip. Peter is also performing at the Festival. We are just receiving the images now – here’s a foretaste of what is to come…

Gone twanging!

If you tried to contact us on Friday 8 October, well, sorry. We were out on our annual funday  - a SP tradition which began twenty-five years ago with welly throwing on Frinton beach. This year we are trying our hands at archery. We’re expecting some sore mouse hands for a few days!

LPO: Music to our eyes

How to capture the colourful sounds of the London Philharmonic, the Philharmonia Orchestra, Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment and London Sinfonietta was the question posed by SouthBank at the start of the 2009/10 orchestral season. And as so often, the clue was in the question: Colour. We commissioned artist Andrew Foster to come up with the expressive images. We are thrilled that they have taken their place on huge hoardings on the Southbank. London Eye candy, perhaps?
